The kind of education needed to become a musician is a degree in music. Whether it be in music education, music performance, or music theory, either can potentially be a guide for one to become a musician. Majoring in the musical field would be the best way of surely becoming a musician, however there is not a requirment for an education to become a musisican, it is just preffered since those who study music tend to know more techniques. That's right, you dont need an edication to become a musician. In fact more famous musicians did not recieve any education at all, however it does benefit you drastically if you do happen to study music.
